I am a graduate from KNUST Kumasi, Ghana who grew up as a lazy JW together with my paternal half siblings. At 17, I was stuck with my mom, a baptist who also influenced me to attend her church which I did without zeal. Until 23, I lived a churchless life although I followed the christian discipline. After so long, I have now felt God's touch on me through wonderful unimaginable means and currently fellowship with an Evangelical Charismatic church.

I don't particularly adhere to or refute any doctrine from any origin as they help me to study the bible more, maturing spiritually. I pledge myself in all things to dwell in Him and He in me.

@RiverC thanks a lot pal, I was a bit disappointed to see it closed as it was my 3rd question to be closed in a row. I even wished I could get responses through my mail. But since you have just given me hope, I would do my best to edit it. After all, "closure is not a death sentence" as they say. It only might take me a while cos I do all my difficult browsing on mobile phone.

+1 thanks for that verse. I recall Don Moen's song 'Emmanuel' which a part says "tempted in everyway, yet without sin

comment Does Jesus contradict Himself in these verses?
I fear of closure to this question as it is answered in the very post. Yet I would give you a big summary of my own answer there. Read it and read the bible from where you cited from. "But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled." (Matthew 26:56).

@Wikis take it as God's plan. As asfalow said, to fit the bill. At least he healed an ear he did not cut.

@asfallows wow, overtaking right? The meaning is quite fascinating as Jesus hints that a prophecy is just about to be fulfilled, must be fulfilled, and actually gets fulfilled. So interesting.

@Marc alright, agreed. But could I ask of anyone's experience in relation to it, or you suggest I delete it?

comment Why did Jesus question God on the cross?
@Narnian How do we then link it to when He prayed alone? "And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. " (Matthew 26:39). What do we make of it? Actually, I do not understand perfectly what that means and want to know if it could be connected to the main issue.
