comment Is it a valid Christian concept to attribute subjectively attactive physical characteristics, as blessings from God?
I still feel bad for the person on the other end of the spectrum, as there can be so much pain there, I still am not mature enough to understand that I guess. As I learn more, it appears that our experiencing of good and bad circumstance is irrelevant and all should be viewed as a blessing from God..? If true, this is really hard to swallow, I see how suffering is considered a part of all this...

comment Does Calvary Chapel assume everything is wrong in this world?
@David Morton: so which doctrine would be more focused "in the middle" of this total depravity vs God's grace?

comment Did Jesus actually ever say “if you don't believe in me you go to Hell”?
@DavidStratton: but how do we know His context and intent? it seems very rarely is a statement in the Bible a direct interpretation like that...I'm having a really hard time believing this is what Jesus meant...for example, I truly believe God would not send a Buddhist monk that devoted his life to the expression of God he was given, to hell, that just can't be because God is also fair and God is Love.

@fredsbend: "but only the one who does the will of my Father" geez, that seems like it excludes most Christians....

comment What is a Christian's justification for a legal prohibition of homosexual marriage?
@AffableGeek: "but choose not to glorify Him as God" - well, not really, there are Gay Christians who glorify God...who are pastors too.

comment Why is it so much easier to sin than follow Jesus?
@2pietjuh2: It does not appear from my understanding for Jesus that watching a movie or funny things are a sin....(everything in balance. In other religions I see complete devotion to their books etc. and still see darkness.)

@2pietjuh2:"short term desires" -- specifically lust?
