comment How does Christianity explain suffering that ends in death?
@Affable Geek: the timing of this question and your experience gives it much weight, thank you. I agree it produces dependence on the Spirit, but I struggle to see how it produces Hope...

comment What is the biblical basis for considering gender to be not merely physical/biological?
@Narnian: like the link I included in the other answer, there are Biblical references to God as female, male and neither...everything is an interpretation, there is no clear answer.

comment Is the main battle of the enemy for the mind?
thank you, that is a very good and well supported answer. Regardless of entrance into heaven, it seems that there is so much darkness in the lives of these people with these illnesses and in some extreme cases brings more darkness to other people around them, almost as if the devil wins over that person, so I wonder why God won't use His grace to defeat that?

comment If the Ten Commandments say “thou shalt not kill” how can a Christian fight in a war?
@Caleb: "you aren't seeing the forest" is TAKING JESUS OUT out of the Gospel and is not Christian. and actually the breadth of Jesus' is not the popular answers here: huffingtonpost.com/deepak-chopra/…

comment Are some people pursued by the “enemy” relatively more than others?
and what about the relativity of "attack" in the context of all unbelievers - i.e. one unbeliever has more "attacks" from the enemy than another unbeliever?
