comment How are first-grade relics prepared?
Paragraph 237 of the linked Directory on Popular Piety and the Liturgy is actually relevant to the question and deserves to be quoted, although it doesn't go into the detail the question appears to want.

comment Did Mary have other children?
Well, a late answer is always at a disadvantage. And the last two paragraphs smack of proselytising.

comment Did Mary have other children?
This answer is useful, but the two paragraphs right at the end seem out of place in discussing perpetual virginity (and more suitable for the Immaculate Conception and the Assumption).

comment Is the Catholic Church NOT against all birth control?
It should also be noted that Benedict XVI's comments were not in the context of asking about birth control.

comment How do Catholics and Eastern Orthodox justify their clergy praying with those big hats on their heads?
The danger with quoting the 1917 Code of Canon Law is the provision of Canon 6 §1 in the 1983 Code.

A sacramental can be a noun in its own right, as well as an adjective.

comment How do Catholics and Eastern Orthodox justify their clergy praying with those big hats on their heads?
It does appear that the 1984 Caeremoniale Episcoporum is not available online. I'm not even certain it's been printed in English (although there is a French printed translation).

I am confident that there are no occasions where mitres or birettas are worn to pray. Zucchetti tend to remain when other headgear is removed, but even they are taken off in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.

@bruisedreed In the Catholic Church, mitres are removed to pray.

comment Do Catholic priests have to report child abuse confessed in secret?
@fredsbend Fixed grille, easy: Canon 964. Unconventional confession, less easy, but Canon 964 could be brought to bear there too. Canon 986 allows the setting of a particular time and place for confessions to be heard.

comment Why did Paul go to Arabia?
It's possible that Paul was using Arabia simply to mean "a land of Arabs" as opposed to Jewish people, rather than what we now call Arabia/Saudi Arabia/the Arabian Peninsula. I'm not sure how to verify how the word Arabia was used in the first century though.
