comment Under what circumstances does God act on His anger?
-1 God hates evil people with a passion. This is not true. God hates evil, but not the person.

There's also the scientific viewpoint of the fact that there is a constantly increasing amount of mutated DNA in our system which makes our bodies more and more corrupt with each generation. This points to the fact that Adam and Eve may have perfect DNA, but because we are humans, the DNA will slowly become less and less perfect.

comment How should Christians meditate?
It's my personal experience, @Flimzy, but I don't have much of it. I learned it off a preacher

comment Can people speak in tongues today?
+1 For "it should have no place in a worship service". I believe that the speaking in tongues was meant to be a sign to the people of the coming of God's kingdom. Note that the speaking in tongues only occurred in areas where there were new believers, that is, the Gospel was being preached for the first time there, and there were converts for the first time.

comment Why is rape not in the 10 commandments?
But the husband has to consider the feelings of his wife. Jesus did say that we were to love one another like ourselves. If the husband was to rape his wife, then that would obviously go against what Jesus is commanding. Thus, that would be a sin, wouldn't it?

Flimzy, Church Fathers are quite vague. It could mean the Apostles, or it could mean people like,..... John Bede?

comment If Christ is considered the 'Son of God' then how is He a part of a Trinity?
@KronoS, this is also a concept that I can't really understand, but with explanation, I think it might help. Good question though

comment Who were the “giants” mentioned in the Bible?
@Byrd, these sons of God could have been referring to angels, particularly fallen angels. Especially after considering the Hebrew meaning of Nephilim, which means, to fall

comment Why was Thomas More canonized?
What about Saul(Paul)? He received honour and approval, when he was killing the early church Christians. People who oppose God, will be honoured by other people who oppose God.

comment Why was Thomas More canonized?
The people killed weren't Catholic, and that's why they weren't recognized by the Catholic Church and canonized

comment How did all the animals fit into Noah's ark?
@Marc Gravell, did you happen to know, that the Ark wasn't built by any inferior technology? The oil tankers, and the what do you call thems, the boats where the planes fly off, are all built to the ark's shape.

comment Is Christianity a monotheistic religion?
A definition of "God" would bring out several definitions, but one definition defines "God" as the creator of the universe. That effectively leaves out the lesser troubles. If we were to include lesser powers as God, then Daniel the prophet might have been one, or John the Baptist, or the Twelve Apostles. They'd be no end.
