Chadi Cortbaoui - I am a Canadian Software engineer. I am mostly interested about web and phone apps, but like all kind of programming and self teaching in general.
I am a dedicated gym person.
Working out is the best thing you can do to your health and body... and Learning/self teaching is the best thing you can do to your brain.
Beside that i play guitar and have advanced cooking skills.
I gotta admit, i never knew how genuine and helpful programmers are until i started using stack overflow on a daily basis... Helping others is an eminent skill that is missing nowadays, so all respect for the SO team!

2012/08/06: just launched a personal web project easemyday. The tool has a main purpose which is helping with your daily nutrition/health monitoring :

Currently a list of 5807 foods with their nutrition facts are available
It will allow you to specify your goal: lose weight, gain weight, no goal just staying healthy.
It will allow you to calculate your daily needs (calories,protein,carbohydrates,fat etc..) using the app's built in calculator. You can manually input those values if you already know your needs.
You just drag and drop foods and it will calculate the sum of all the nutrients related to the foods you added. It will give you recommendations on what to eat and whether you are in your goal range or not.
This tool can be used by all people of all ages, whether they are bodybuilders, athletes or sedentary people. I use it for my daily health monitoring, diet and bodybuilding support.
The tool is free to use, and hope it will make your life easier too.
The tool is bilingual: English and French

Not developed as a phone application YET(though it should work on IPhone/android)

" is the correct method i believe , show the scripture then explain it in a spiritual way so that they stop thinking with a materialistic brain

You are right about what you said, but the people am talking about are still at the beginning of faith, they do not really understand or truly feel what Miracles God have done on earth. So first step is to help them understand what faith and belief is and once they are there then they could understand how Jesus prayed and acted. How to preach those people to make them understand how to approach faith ?

".. So God does want us to enjoy and help others enjoy life BUT we need a one on one relationship, ie, every step that we do we must tell him "i put it between your hands and you decide what should happen"

However, i do believe God is love "God is love, come to Him and He will fix your broken marriage, drug problem, financial woes, etc.) " IF you build a relationship with him and give him your life and all the steps you make. The bible says "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

The bible has an answer for you, Matthew 23:3-->"So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach." It is telling you clearly that pastors are human and a lot of them sin and do not do what they preach. This doesn't mean your faith should be affected, cause your faith is about Jesus Christ not how human behave toward Jesus. A lot of people do this mistake, they judge religion based on human acts! Its like judging medical laws by a failed doctor!

Understand the spirit behind words not how each person interprets it. To understand religion u have to read with an open mind, and thus concerning your example about street goes green, Maybe God wanted you to go through intersection(car accident maybe), maybe not...no big deal, what counts is knowing God is watching over you if u gave him ur life:) Do wt u can, God knows our limits, & ask him to guide u

May 27	comment	Till what level is helping others a christian duty? @Affable Geek A small comment about kids, if you want my opinion, do not exaggerate with your love to your kids. What i mean is, in my opinion (i dun have kids but sill), you should as a parent provide for them and make their life very pleasurable , mostly by doing activities with them and teaching them how to deal with life. But also, "never making them do a thing" is not helpful for them. Use the example of the eagle in the bible: at some point he puts thorns in his nest to make his kids leave and jump. once they jump he follows them if they need him, this is how they learn to fly!

I do not serve two masters. JESUS asked the people to give him the two fish and bread and he'll fill the basket for them. It means, he said do what you "Can" do, what your limit imposes and i'll do the rest. So i was asking what is the limit for helping others, knowing that this world is a place where people are like piranha fish: as soon as you throw sthg in the water they devour it and leave nthg at all? I felt sometimes u have to stop it when necessary

Also concerning what you said about selfishness is the tip of the iceberg; i know bro..before i moved to Canada, i was born and lived in a place during very violent circumstances where i saw how the ignorance, selfishness, mental blindness and being away from the "real" msg of God can cause what is called "humanity" to look like the biggest joke ever :) Still i knew the "only" truth on this globe is in the bible,& i kept doing wt am asked to do, as much as possible

You are right, and actually as christian , or mainly human, each of us has a specific talent, a limit, and a field where he/she is good at. So we cannot all be mother theresa, but we can better than her in field where she wasn't good at. I believe you do what God asks u to do but not over your limit, because when u go above ur limit , what is supposed to be a blessing becomes a curse.On a side note, its not that i am not joyful, its thatam wondering and asking myself questions, like for example: why is it so hard for people to become a bit less selfish,etc..
May 26	comment	Which God do Muslims pray to according to Catholic, Orthodox and main-stream Protestant tradition? Just a small comment, the word Allah is an arabic word meaning God. As a lebanese christian that speakes arabic, i'd have to mention that the bible in arabic version uses the world Allah referring to God. I don't know why it became popular that Allah is just a muslim thing, its an arabic translation of the word God.

But, on another hand, the bible says "I'm sending you out like sheep among wolves. So be as cunning as snakes but as innocent as doves.". Doesn't that mean that you should also know when you should stop and dun let others just abuse your helpful character?
