comment Why were the people of Exodus so stubborn?
Well, on the whole, the Israelites did obey God, but that doesn't mean that there were those among them who didn't. Achan was a good example, who took some of the devoted things, and in Joshua 7:1, God's anger burned against the Israelites. They were also deceived by the Gibeonites because they didn't consult the Lord. For a while they obeyed better than their parents, but more than likely out of fear. That being said, their fear-based obedience didn't last. Keep in mind that Judges is immediately after Joshua.

comment Do Christians have secret handshakes?
Thanks. I appreciate the directness and the link. Don't be afraid to simply say, "This comes from a movie in the 50's". It'd save us both alot of time.

comment Is there a good overview of Christian denominations/churches and their mapping between countries
I think this question is too broad for this site. You're asking for a overview that would essentially give you the entire history of the church. I'm not sure that there's any volume that can give you a thorough understanding of the differences between all the denominations out there, save for a multi-volume set like this: christianbook.com/history-of-the-christian-church-volumes/…

It's also worth nothing, that, if the story were true, it probably woundn't be documented, so the answer to the question, more than likely, is, nobody knows.

You might want to try asking questions that don't assume facts. "Do you have any sources?" may be a good alternative way to ask the question without being argumentative. That being said, I looked it up, and I can't immediately find any evidence, so you may actually be right in your sideways statement disguised as a question.

I'd have to agree. I'm not sure that this is a duplicate either.

Good point. I failed to mention that in my original post, but very worth noting.
