I'm a college student with an interest in computers and specifically Unix-based operating systems. At the moment I am using only two OSs: Debian squeeze and Ubuntu, although I have experimented with openSUSE, Fedora, ArchLinux, openBSD and openIndiana. I've been able to get the most out of them partly because of sites like these, where the community is very understanding and helpful. I am also very fond of tennis-playing and theoretical physics, although it isn't what I study at college.

Ok, @DavidMorton, it's okay no one was upset. I thank you for being civilised about this matter.

Thanks, @AffableGeek, that is actually rather encouraging.

comment Bible evidence in favour of creationism?
@DavidMorton Hey, let's make things clear. I came here for an answer, not to get my motives questioned. However, to satisfy your curiosity, I shall tell you that this is not something I am going to use to simply "win an argument". That would be just shallow and even silly. In my question I stated I wanted this info "to talk about creationism" with my friend. I just want to share what the Bible says on the matter and, as he isn't going to sweat over finding information on this subject, I'm the one who has to go get it; this is where useful sites like these come into the picture...

@AffableGeek Thanks, that's great, geek. You see, I am trying to work my way towards being a respected user, and these are my humble beginnings, as happens with all users...

@DavidMorton All right, David Morton, that's all nice and polite, but after all nobody has come up with an answer, let alone a good one, you see...

Then why not vote it up, @AffableGeek?

@PeterTurner Well in that case, thanks for not voting down. Now I'll go read a bit more about the subject and try not to be disrespectful the next time, ok?

@PeterTurner Hey, why vote down my answer just because my opinion doesn't match yours? I simply said there isn't a single verse in the Bible which suggests anything such as transubstantiation, and it's true. You have no right of voting my answer down simply "'cause you've got more rep than me". If you choose to believe the teachings of the Roman church have the power to establish something that's not mentioned in the Bible then so be it, but I'm not a Catholic as you clearly are. The site's about Christianity don't you forget that; it isn't merely about a particular denomination.
