What evidence is there to support the position that the Bible is truly the Word of God to mankind? What is the connection between the Bible and Western Science? What does it have to do with electromagnetism or equal human rights? In fact, Bible claims lightning to be a token of God's wrath www.christiananswers.net/dictionary/lightning.htm , and allows slavery en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bible_and_slavery . Being Christian does not make one a better scientist, neither is being white, using right hand, or speaking English, despite a lot of contribution to science being made by white people speaking English and using right hands. There might be correlation, but not causality. |

What evidence is there to support the position that the Bible is truly the Word of God to mankind? Can't most if not all of the cases presented in your answer be made for most holy books, not just the Bible? |

What evidence is there to support the position that the Bible is truly the Word of God to mankind? @AffableGeek Okay, if you thought that my answer lacked reference, you could've said that a page ago. |

What evidence is there to support the position that the Bible is truly the Word of God to mankind? @AffableGeek As for the FAQ - "all questions must be directly related to Christianity", which I did follow. From what I understand though, answers to questions about Christianity don't have to be answered from a Christian perspective, as long as the answer itself is factual. For example, if someone was to ask about age of Shroud of Turin, an answer from a Christian perspective would be "2000 years, as Jesus was wrapped in it", and someone would answer by "Radiocarbon dating puts it at about 600 years", wouldn't both answers be valid here, as they present an opinion from a specific viewpoint? |

What evidence is there to support the position that the Bible is truly the Word of God to mankind? @AffableGeek If one hold something as true or sacred, one would not try to doubt it, whereas a skeptic might still do that. If for example I would write my answer from a position of Bible inerrancy, I would not present the other side of the argument, thus making the answer less objective. |
