comment How is it that sinful people who do not believe, still get the blessings of the Lord?
I think this a great question, the same question that Asaph asks in Psalm 73, and a point that Job's 'friends' rub in his face throughout their discussion. Shortened, 'Why do good things happen to bad people'. I hate down votes due to what appears to me to be ignorance. Just because you don't understand a question, does not mean that it is not a good question.

comment Why is the word “Ark” used for Noah's boat and the Ark of the Covenant?
@Ron, I think that the english translators used the same word because there was, in their perception, a lot of similarity. Wish everyone would just learn Greek and Hebrew...

comment Does the act of sex constitute marriage in God's eyes?
@DJ does that mean that Jacob was not married to two women? I think we are thinking outside of Biblical norms here. See my answer (currently below) for more.

comment Why would God create beings with the capacity to sin?
Just added two more verses, Col 1:15-16 and Rev 4:11. Also I think we should all ask ourselves why did God create at all. Being perfect in His state outside of time, he had no needs. I believe that the highest good is the glorification of that which is most worthy of glory. Therefore the only reasonable answer that I can find to this question is that God created all things for His glory. I might also suggest A Dissertation Concerning the End for Which God Created the World by Jonathan Edwards

Hey all, good discussion here. I just added Isaiah 43:1-7 (esp verse 7) as a reference for God creating for His glory. I am busy right now with holidays and work, but plan to return to this eventually and give a fuller explanation of this. However if God did not create everything for His own glory, why did He create? Easy to bash an idea, harder to come up with a different answer some times. :-)
