Are there any atheists in the Bible? @MarcGravell I twisted my knee pretty bad early Feb. and it was in bad non-ceasing pain up until a couple days ago, I couldn't sleep because it hurt. So remembering Luke 1:37 and Matt. 17:20, I prayed and it was instantly healed, and it hasn't hurt since. To me, that is empirical evidence. Why don't you try praying? I'm sure God will give you the evidence you need too. |

Are there any atheists in the Bible? @MarcGravell The point is that if the things I said, and the bible, are true, then indeed it is foolish to say "there is no God". If God did not exist, then it would be foolish to believe in God, would it not? There is no fallacy in Paul's writing there, because it is true, and there is evidence, but that's another topic. |

Are there any atheists in the Bible? @MarcGravell The biblical argument here is that God put in the conscience of all men to know there is a God and to seek after him. However, the carnal desires in the heart of man (or godlessness/wickedness, as defined by God) moves us in opposition to God, so therefore, we suppress and deny the truth and lie to ourselves that God even exists. Our love for ourselves and love for creation denies a God that demands we love the Creator. Instead we love and worship the prior. |

Does Christianity say that the events that happen to us are from God? If everything came from God, then that would even mean temptation. James 1:13 tells us that temptation is not from God. |

What does it mean “my God my God why have you forsaken me”? I agree. "The Psalm of the Cross." I like how the Psalm not only starts with "My God, My God..", but ends with something similar to "It is finished!" And everything in between can definitely give insight to what Jesus felt in that moment. |

Why does Judaism celebrate Sabbath on Saturday and most Christians celebrate Sabbath on Sunday? I've been struggling with the 4th commandment for sometime, being part of a baptist church that worships on sunday, and that last verse in Romans really helped me. The first one in Hebrews is good too. Thanks! |

What is the meaning of the Psalm 37:29? @GregMcNulty It would actually not be right for God to answer your prayers in justice being served to someone in this life. Jesus commanded us to love our enemy and pray for those who persecute you (that is their salvation and blessings). You should forgive those who have sinned against you, regardless of anything. If you do not forgive them, and pray calamity upon them, how much more should your heavenly father forgive you? Read Matthew 18:21-35 |

What is the meaning of the Psalm 37:29? @GregMcNulty Would you rather have justice served to Hitler in this life or the next? You couldn't make that man suffer on Earth enough to equal the justice that should be served to him. Even if you could, God commands us not to because vengeance is His to take (Romans 12:19). Eternal justice is much more fit than temporal. |

What is the meaning of the Psalm 37:29? @JimG. The righteous are those redeemed by the blood of Christ. He became our sin, and his righteousness is imputed to those who believe in him. |

Is there a way to prove the God of the Bible? @MarcGravell It proves creation by a "god", not necessarily "the God of the bible", so I guess it doesn't apply to this question. |

Is murder allowed if God tells you to do it? But that's only covenant speaking. And like you said, he does/did give such orders. |

Is murder allowed if God tells you to do it? @MarcGravell I think what Shathur is saying is that God's command to kill people was an old testament covenant, and does not apply today. God had a purpose for these commands in the OT, mostly to purge evil out of Israel (since this was the nation God chose to reveal himself through to the world), but always to show his glory and majesty as God. |

Is there a way to prove the God of the Bible? I think the universe, especially Earth, and the conscience of man are enough proof. People that personally witnessed Jesus' miracles didn't even do it for them. It is not proof that makes a Christ follower. In Christ's 1000 year reign on Earth, people will still be born and choose to not follow Christ. How someone can be so ignorant beats me, but it will happen. |

How far is too far when it comes to drinking alcohol? To add to Michael's comment, I think the wine Jesus provided in his miracle had very little (if any) alcohol content. christianity.stackexchange.com/questions/24/… |
