Ancient nations in a young earth Regarding "Chinese history stretches back to cover the times when "Biblical literalists" are claiming that everyone was still speaking one language and huddled in a small area of the world" in your link: We are going to need to a better reference to this than some random comment. |

Biblical support for why something is a sin? @MarcGravell Even for things that are evidently morally wrong..there are some people that would truly feel like they not morally wrong; no matter how much reason, evidence, and rationality you show or explain to them. This has nothing to do with authorities or governments. |

Was there enough water in the world to cover the earth? @GregMcNulty Hmm, I don't think so: And the waters prevailed so exceedingly and were so mighty upon the earth that all the high hills under the whole sky were covered. |

Multiple wives and concubines | male and female “original” intent I think Abraham only had one wife, Sarah. |

Was there enough water in the world to cover the earth? @Marc Okay, well this question is pertaining to taking the story of Noah and flood literally. |

Was there enough water in the world to cover the earth? @hammar that's not the point of the question. the people who "complain" probably don't believe the bible and/or God whatsoever. |

Was there enough water in the world to cover the earth? @MarcGravell I think that's a great answer, if you could elaborate on the article's point of view. |

Will all that are lost be saved? This definitely helps. Only thing I would argue is that we can't tell in this parable if Jesus is referring to "the lost sheep of Israel" or just literal sheep (since He also gives the same parable using plain coins). But if the tax guy was a Jew, and in light of Matt 15:24, that could definitely be what he meant. Thanks :) |

Why did God create man? Oops, I meant first quote. I thought it was a verse; wish it was lol. |

Why did God create man? I like this answer, and think it's the most accurate. That first verse says it all :) |

Will all that are lost be saved? @Caleb How did I tack on my own definition of sheep?? I quoted sheep from Nathan's comment. I know that sheep are people of the Shepard |

Will all that are lost be saved? @NathanBunney I think we would normally interpret those verses to mean that once we have been born again, we will not lose our salvation. I'm talking about lost "sheep" that have not known God in the first place. |

Is 1 Thessalonians 4:17 the only verse that supports the rapture? I don't think these verses are talking about rapture, because given the context (of Noah and Lot) it seems to be referring to the wrath of God being poured out. Also, in most translation it says that day is on the day the Son of Man is revealed, which will not be until He returns. |
