comment What Bible translations are accepted by the Southern Baptist Convention?
Also, NWT isn't "controversial" for most Baptists - it is downright heretical. It is not fair to say "controversial amongst Trinitarians" It is fair to say "that's really only for Jehavoah's Witness"

The Southern Baptist Convention is headquartered in the United States, and the vast majority of them do speak English.

@DoubleU Please be a little more restrained in editing my answers. The word "popish" really didn't fit here, in particular.

@Bye I appreciate the edits, but decided to decline them, because frankly, I wanted to add a little bit of character to the answer. I actively did not appreciate DoubleU's edits that did make it more controversial

Just an FYI, if this question gets closed, I plan on voting to reopen. This is a great question, as Mr. Bultitude's answer shows!

comment Can God kill himself?
@DoubleU As the meta posts says, the point of assuming Trinitarian Christianity is to help the OP. This answer did exactly the right thing in calling out whom this applies to. An uninformed OP would be most likely assuming Trintitarian / Nicene Christianity. This is helpful. We are making no judgement about who is a "true" Christian, rather making a logical assumption based on the fact that 98% of Christians would fall into this category. Please read the post

@Flimzy You are right - this is a dupe. Think I gave the same answer too. Sorry!

Which is something that has been the case in Western theology and philosophy for about 2400 years.
