Software Developer, part-time pastor, and I raise chickens. Who can't love a chicken?
For Christianity.stackexchange.com, my religious background:
- Grew up in a Protestant, evangelical, nondenominational "Bible Church" (-1990)
- earned a M.Div at a Baptist Seminary (2008) and pastored a very small Baptist church (2004 - 2008)
- Currently serving in an Episcopal Church, and yes I did that site. (2008 - present)

Why are there inconsistencies in the New Testament? Your answer might be better phrased "For a great many Christians, inerrancy is not an issue. Many denominations suggest that the bible is wholly accurate in theological points, but that the Bible does not itself purport to be a scientific or historical text in the modern sense of the word. This is not universal, but is widely held." |

Why are there inconsistencies in the New Testament? I appreciate the answer, but it should be clear that there are many (a majority of Southern Baptists and Evangelicals) who would still hold to inerrancy, so "men make mistakes" wouldn't be an answer that all Christians would agree with. I would agree that many do, however. |

How did Noah preserve fresh water fish? Ah, wait - I see your quandry - a flood (presumably saltwater) would overrun fresh water... One can make silly hypothesis like preserving fresh water lakes in the same way that Lake Vostok was preserved under a glacier, but no, I don't want to go there... I will say that the "fountains of the deep" were opened up, and could have been fresh or salt water... |

How did Noah preserve fresh water fish? Sorry, you missed a later edit :) God only promised to destroy all life on the earth, i.e. on soil - not those in the seas |

Is prayer an integral part of worshiping, or is it possible to worship without a prayer? Sign language doesn't "talk" but it's clearly communication. By definition worship is a communicative activity designed to communicate the "worth-ship" of God. Can't think of any reason to do that in such a way that God is unaware of what is being said. |

John 8:6-8, Jesus writing Pastors have been known to fill in the blank here, literally - sometimes saying it was a name or a deed, but the truth is WE DONT KNOW |
