I'm interested in any horror movies which can be considered Christian. I'm not a great expert in horror movies, 'The Frailty' is the only one that immediately comes to mind. Advise any, please.

Anybody remember "Mark of the Beast" from the 70s? Or those horrible Left Behind Movies? How about any Veggie Tales movie after the 13th showing? It seems like just about any "Christian" movie is a trainwreck, followed by extreme horror! – Affable Geek Jul 9 '12 at 20:57

I apologize - I was making a joke, and without the cultural reference, it's not fair to expect that you'd see that. Most of those movies I'm talking about weren't "horror" movies (in the vein of say, Friday the 13th or whatever), but were rather just so badly made that they were horrible! In general, the purpose of horror movies is to scare, thrill, and titilate. By contrast, most Christian movies are meant to edify - to build up. I doubt you'll find any Christian horror films... – Affable Geek Jul 9 '12 at 21:07

The original "The Omen" was a horror movie written by a Christian and with a pretty obvious Christian world-view. (Whether you agree with the theories about prophecy or not, they are based on the Bible.) (The sequels had nothing to do with Biblical Christianity. I suspect the scripts were not written by the same person as wrote the original.)

Perhaps "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" could be considered a horror movie. It's about a woman who some of the characters say is possessed by a demon and others say is simply mentally ill. It's supposedly based on a true story, but I don't claim to know how close to the true story it is. To the extent that it follows the real story, I think it gives a very fair hearing to each side.

"The Devil's Advocate" struck me as being a Christian story, albeit with some Hollywood mangling. I don't know if the original script-writer was a Christian, but I suspect he was.

Lots of horror movies have Christian elements -- they're often about demons and a priest will have a prominent role.

Some horror movies have Christian elements but are totally anti-Christian. "The Rapture" comes to mind. I saw many reviews on some movie review site by people who thought it was a Christian movie. But the whole point of it was how horrible it would be if those crazy Christians were really right and there really is a God who sends people to Hell, etc.

I'm not particularly a horror movie fan so I can't think of other examples.
