Hebrews 6:4-6 (NKJV)

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away,[a] to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

Even tho in this question Once saved always saved. Is eternal security Biblical? the highest voted answer was that yes, "once saved, always saved" is reality. It seems to me that Hebrews 6:4-6 kind of wipes out any chance of this possibility.

Am I misinterpreting this?

I agree on the previous comment, but since I don't get to VTC any more, how about this. Could you re-word this question to ask for an exegesis of the text in relation to the assurance of salvation issue? That's basically what you seem to be after anyway but the way it's worded is just headed for the same question as before, how about focusing on how this verse fits into the picture? – Caleb♦ Sep 14 '11 at 12:05

Also, your question mentions "he highest voted answer was that yes, "once saved, always saved" is reality". However, the accepted answer shows biblical support against "once saved always saved". If this bible verse were added to that answer, this would be a duplicate question. – Richard Sep 14 '11 at 13:17
I think the point you're making is a good one, but you should make it as an answer to your other question. Also, the answer with the most votes isn't necessarily the right one! – Waggers Sep 14 '11 at 15:01
