Christianity Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for committed Christians, experts in Christianity and those interested in learning more. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I've thought about this for some time.

Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice, and this is why our sins can be forgiven.

Does the Bible state if only believers can be forgiven their sins?

Or did Christ die for any good man and religion?

I understand that God is just, and we all deserved to go to hell.

But I feel terrified in thinking about how many good men out there are going to burn in hell for being raised the wrong way.

I think this is a good question, but note that answers may vary widely between different Christian groups. – Matt Mar 17 at 21:38
@Matt Thanks. That's ok, it's good to get different opinions. – NSAddict Mar 17 at 21:41

@NSAddict: Welcome to Christianity.SE. In general, it's good to get different opinions. But StackExchange sites are not discussion forums; they're for questions that are specific and can be answered definitively. You could get a definitive answer for "what does [insert denomination here] believe about this topic?", or something like "are there any Christian denominations that teach that salvation is possible for people who never had the opportunity to learn about the Gospel?", which seems to be what you're really looking for here. But your question, as currently written, is off-topic for us. – Mason Wheeler Mar 17 at 21:55
I'm closing this, but feel free to edit it into a format better suited to our community standards, (please have a look at the FAQ to get up to speed on what we see as a well-asked question here,) and flag it for review by the mods, and one of us can reopen it then. :) – Mason Wheeler Mar 17 at 21:56
